Questions Gardeners Ask
What’s the difference between the zone editions and the USDA edition?
Each zone edition (3 through 10) is pre-filled with that zone’s frost dates, growing season, and 33 to 55 crop cards calibrated to what actually grows there. The USDA Edition is zone-neutral – you fill in your own frost dates, so it works anywhere from Zone 3 to Zone 9.
What size is the planner, and how many pages?
Each one is a 7 x 10 inch paperback, printed and shipped by Amazon, running 205 to 243 pages depending on the edition.
Do I need to know my exact USDA zone?
For the best fit, yes – use our free Find Your Zone tool to check in seconds. If you garden across zones or would rather skip that step, the USDA Edition works everywhere.
Can I use the planner every year?
Yes. Every page is undated on purpose, so you can start in January, June, or any month, and keep using it for years. Many gardeners use pencil the first season and switch to pen once they know their garden’s habits.
What’s actually inside?
Frost and soil worksheets, this year’s goals, dozens of crop cards, garden layout grids, a full planting calendar, and trackers for pests, water, harvest, and your weekly journal – see the sample pages above.
